14th biennial DTT Symposium

Mannheim (Germany), 27-29 March2014

The 14th biennial DTT (Deutscher Terminologie-Tag) Symposium will take place at the Dorint Congress Hotel in Mannheim (Germany), 27-29 March  2014.
The presentations on 28 and 29 March will revolve around the topics of “rights, returns on investments and resources" in the context of terminology. Highlights include copyright and rights of use of terminologies, the economics of terminology work, and resources for terminology research.
In addition to the lectures, tutorials on 27 March 2014 will focus on interesting and practical aspects of terminology work:
 • TBX – exchange of terminological data
 • Terminology management for authorities and organizations
 • Fundamentals of terminology work and recent developments in ISO standards

This year’s symposium will include the inaugural presentation of the DTT Award to a scholar in the field of terminology and feature a lecture presentation by the winner. The Symposium will also provide an information exchange and exhibitors’ room with publications and software for terminologists, translators, and technical writers. The DTT board meeting and the DTT members’ assembly will also take place during the symposium.
