German Terminology Association (DTT) – Symposium 2018: “Terminology and Text”, Mannheim (Germany), 22-24 March 2018

Every two years, the German Terminology Association (DTT) organizes a symposium that deals with terminology from different perspectives. The next DTT symposium will take place in Mannheim, 22-24 March 2018.

In addition to the main presentations on topics, such as terminology and text, terminology and AI, as well as terminology tools, tutorials with interesting aspects of terminology work will be offered.

In 2018, tutorials are related to the following topics:
• Creation and selection of names
• Research and definitions
• Company-wide coordination processes through ‘terminology circles’
• Ontology: basics, tools, synergies

The Symposium offers a practical orientation for those who deal with terminology issues. It is aimed primarily at terminologists, translators and technical editors, but also to all professionals who deal with the definition, order and naming of knowledge and information in their disciplines.
