INTERNATIONAL INFORMATION CENTRE FOR TERMINOLOGY

Publications

Infoterm started its publication activities in the early 1980s, when publications on terminological topics were still rare. The first Infoterm book publications appeared in cooperation with UNESCO and K.G. Saur Publisher.

The implementation of the TermNet – the International Network for Terminology by Infoterm as from 1980 through a project with UNESCO was the starting point for the diversification of Infoterm’s publication activities. The success of this strategy was largely due to the generous support from the Canadian Government in the start-up phase.

After TermNet had been established as an International Association in 1988, it gradually took over the role of the main publisher of most Infoterm publications as there are book publications, periodical publications and brochures.

Furthermore, as a result of its project, consultancy, meeting and publication activities Infoterm has prepared many Infoterm Documents.
